Knock Knock..Who's There??

Waiting for the 3rd post??Here it is.

If you're wondering what my title signifies, here I come to your rescue.Till now, We've spoken about Sheldon, Penny, Howard, Leonard and Raj. We've spoken about the funniest episodes in the show We've discussed Sheldon's best "BAZINGA!" moments and his killer smack-downs. But we've never looked at the characters as people other than their characters. You would've guessed by now. Yes, this post is a sneak-peak into what happens on the other side of the door. Here, we don't talk about Sheldon or Raj; we look into the lives of Jim Parsons and Kunal Nayyar (yes you're very used to saying Sheldon and Raj, but surprise surprise...those ARE their real names!) On this post, we talk about their real lives (look closely, I didn't say reel lives!). You may also find some facts which you didn't know. And if you did know them, well then, like our teachers back at school say, it's revision time!! Let's hope I can provide you with some useful actor and show trivia.

To start off, let me enlighten you on Sheldon's Green Lantern symbol shirts. He chose to wear these shirts since the symbol is a clue to his emotion at that time; red shows rage, blue is for hope and indigo is for compassion. I'm sure you didn't know that...even I didn't till now! Also, Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny, chose her own name for the show and also drafted the script partially, thus bringing in Rajesh Koothrapalli and Howard Wolowitz into the show.

Did you know...I really didn't. Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz) actually has an entire room for his wardrobe in the show!! Don't believe me?? You can check it yourself!!

Ever wondered why Penny and the other Cheesecake Factory employees are in yellow instead of the white shirts real-life Cheesecake Factory servers wear? Bill Prady, the writer/creator of the show revealed at Comic-Con 2009 that white shirts would "strobe" on analog television, so even with the advent of digital TV, costumers are used to avoiding white shirts for TV wardrobes. Also, Bill Prady has worked with a person who had selective mutism and he decided to include this as one of the traits of Rajesh in the show.

Initially, Jim Parsons was rejected during the character screening auditions for the show since he was said to be "unprepared" to suit the character. The role was offered to Johnny Galecki (yes the same guy who plays Leonard in the show!) initially. However, he felt that he would not be able to carry it off well compared to his current character. Hence, after a few more screening tests, the role was finally offered to Jim Parsons

Seems funny doesn't it??? Considering the Sheldon we all go bonkers about would probably never be the one who we love so much. And, the Leonard we all know would be Sheldon. I wonder how that would be..but for a fact, I would probably change the topic of my second post (this is a hint to all those who haven't read it as yet!)

It is said that Jim Parsons prepped for his future role in "The Big Bang Theory" with a scene in Zach Braff's "Garden State.". Parsons plays a Medieval Times knight who knows how to say "Kill Kirk" in Klingon. Now that explains his prior knowledge of Klingon! Adding on to that, Mayim Bialik, who plays Sheldon's not-girlfriend Amy Farrah Fowler, is the most prepared for her genius geek role on "The Big Bang Theory." The A.V. Club reports that Bialik earned her Ph.D in neuroscience from UCLA in 2008. Now that's what I call dedication!!

Astronauts??well not really...just another episode!!

Thus, we see so many new things about the people we love and the people we look up to. And we're also left with facts about them that we may not really know!! For now, that's all folks!!

BAZINGA!!

"22 hours , 5 minutes , 30 seconds , 0.2 milliseconds
Writing my first entry
Hello.I'm Dr Sheldon Cooper.
And you are??Oh it's OK...You're too slow for me."

This is my next post , and sure enough I can't calculate how many milliseconds have passed by as I write this! But I can assure you one thing. When you're upset, I'll offer you a hot beverage as a tertiary friend!

The subject of my post , very clearly , is none other than my all time favourite, Dr(and sometimes Major) Sheldon Cooper. The reason I propose to talk about it is simply because he's a favourite among all viewers of this show and also my favourite.

Sheldon Lee Cooper , who later on became Dr Sheldon Cooper through the never-ending list of degrees and PhD s he holds , is the youngest son of Mary and George Cooper. From his childhood days , he was delighted by the principles involved in physics and was really good at it right from the beginning.

This heavily portrays the irony I was aiming for since a person like me , who hates physics , has a favourite character like Sheldon! But anyway , I'm sure he grabs our attention in many other ways.If you're wondering what the reasons may be, it's simple; just continue reading.

Till now, we've seen the history of Sheldon. Now , we move on to something better...what makes Sheldon distinct among the other characters on the show.Is it his "Mr.." , sorry , "Dr know-it-all" attitude or is it just his intellectual conversations which is more complicated than rocket science? The answer is * drum roll* EVERYTHING!He's a genius , no doubt , but his way of talking is just the most unique one anybody would have come across. He does not crack too many jokes as such, but when he does, BAZINGA!! The main highlight about him would be his dialogues (just saying , my previous sentence is one of his very famous one-liners!).Even if it is as simple as calling someone stupid, he would probably take up how recent studies show that out of the total population of homo sapiens who are currently residing on Earth, there could be many categories and meanings of the 6-letter word "stupid" and so on.

Another distinct feature is Sheldon's unimaginable obsession with Star Trek games and comic books. But one thing that is inspiring about him is his perfectly drafted "roommate agreement", absolutely one of a kind. This talks about his everyday menu, which video game to play on which day and so on.One clause also mentions how to take care of him when he's fallen sick and the songs to be sung for him, one being the lullaby Soft Kitty. For those who would want to experience the same, here's a small clipping. It'll probably make you cuddle and sleep too so make sure you keep a  pillow and quilt ready!Since it's a clipping on Sheldon, it'll also make you laugh quite a bit!

In conclusion , here is a dialogue of "Smelly Shelly" , as his friends mock him , which was rated as the most popular "Sheldon quote".

Well,well,well....if it isn't Wil Wheaton
The Green Goblin to my Spider-man.
The Pope Paul V to my Galileo.
The Internet Explorer to my Firefox.

Physicist Overdose

Our whole universe was in a hot dense state
Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started.Wait...
The earth began to cool , autotrophs began to drool , Neanderthals developed tools ,
We built a wall(we built the pyramids)
Math , science , history , unravelling the mysteries
That all started with a big bang!

Think u've heard that somewhere??
Does it sound familiar??
Well , no prizes for guessing. It's the title track of the most loved show watched on television or online , THE BIG BANG THEORY.

The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom. If you could not understand what that meant , here's a simpler version. It's a superb show which i'm addicted to simply because its superb!

The show revolves around five main characters-Leonard Hofstadter , a physicist , Howard Wolowitz , an aerospace engineer , Penny , a waitress and aspiring actress , astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali and my favourite one , theoritical physicist , as he likes to call himself , Dr or Major Sheldon Cooper.

The show's biggest allure is the sense of humour possesed by each character in this show.Right from Sheldon's "I'm the best" attitude to Penny's nonsensical approach to physics , each character plays his or her part in such a way that we can surely not think of anybody else stepping into their shoes. The characters have a perfect comic timing which leaves the audience craving for more.

In short , this is one show which you will accomodate in all your schedules , including your study time tables!!
